Silicone Surfactant QHS 9050 (L6900)

QHS 9050 is a non-hydrolizable silicone copolymer that may be considered for use in the manufacture of rigid polyurethane foams. It is an excellent candidate for hydrocarbons blown polyurethane foams used in appliances and in the construction industry. However, the experience has demonstrated its suitability as general-purpose surfactant for other rigid foam applications and with different blowing agents.

Application

QHS 9050 suitable for use in systems for refrigeration, lamination and pour-in-place foam applications,

using hydrocarbons as blowing agents and co-blown with water.

Provides good solubility of cyclo-pentane and cyclo/iso-pentane mixtures in the typical polyol

formulations used in the appliances industry.

Package: 210kg or 1000kg drum

Storage: The silicone surfactant should be stored in a dry and cool area under appropriate ventilation

conditions. Each container should be closed tightly to avoid contamination with moisture or other

negative influences, which could change the products’ performance in the end use. The optimum

storage temperature is between 10°C and 40°C. Lower and higher storage temperatures are not

preferable and should be avoided.
