QHAD-15(Catalyst PC-15) Product Data Sheet
Description
Catalyst PC‑15 (chemical name: N,N,N’,N’‑tetramethyldipropylenetriamine, CAS 6711‑48‑4) is a non‑emissive, reactive tertiary amine catalyst designed for polyurethane (PU) systems. It acts as a balanced catalyst with mild selectivity toward the isocyanate–water (urea) reaction, delivering a steady reaction profile and consistent foaming behavior. Featuring active hydrogen atoms, it covalently bonds into the polymer network, eliminating volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions, odor, and fogging issues. It improves surface curing and surface quality in molded foams while supporting uniform cell structure and good flowability. It is fully miscible with water and compatible with most polyols and standard PU additives.

Application
- Flexible PU Foams: Molded and slabstock foams for furniture, bedding, and automotive interiors; improves surface cure, reduces defects, and supports low‑fog, low‑VOC performance.
- Rigid PU Foams: Insulation panels, refrigeration, pipe insulation, and spray foams requiring a smooth reaction curve and stable processing.
- CASE Materials: Coatings, adhesives, sealants, and elastomers where non‑emission and balanced reactivity are needed.
- Automotive PU Systems: Interior foams and components to minimize VOCs, odor, and windshield fogging; compatible with other non‑emissive catalysts for tailored curing.
- Epoxy Systems: Used as a curing agent and accelerator for epoxy resin formulations.
Storage
- Store in a cool, dry, well‑ventilated area at 10–30 °C (50–86 °F), away from direct sunlight, heat sources, strong acids, and strong oxidizers.
- Keep containers tightly sealed when not in use to prevent moisture absorption, contamination, and CO₂ pickup.
- Under proper conditions, the product has a shelf life of 24 months from the date of manufacture in unopened packaging.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (nitrile gloves, safety goggles) during handling. Refer to the MSDS for safety, transportation, and emergency procedures.
