1. Description

QHAL303 is a high-performance reactive tertiary amine gel catalyst specially developed for polyurethane (PU) formulation systems, positioned as a premium eco-friendly alternative to traditional A33 gel catalyst. As a reactive-type catalyst, it can covalently bond into the PU polymer matrix during the foaming and curing process, which fundamentally eliminates volatile residue and unpleasant amine odor, solving the core pain points of high volatility and strong irritating smell of conventional A33 catalyst.

This product delivers equivalent gel catalytic efficiency to standard A33 catalyst, with more balanced reaction control, better foam crosslinking effect and improved finished product stability. It features ultra-low volatility, zero residual odor, and low VOC emissions, fully meeting strict environmental and indoor application standards. With excellent compatibility with mainstream polyether polyols, isocyanates and other PU additives, it maintains wide processing latitude and does not affect the physical properties of final PU products, making it an ideal upgrade for traditional gel catalysts in high-quality PU production.

3. Application

QHAL303 is specially designed for PU systems requiring efficient gel catalysis, low odor and zero volatile residue, widely used in the following typical fields, fully replacing A33 catalyst in high-standard production scenarios:

  • High-Resilience (HR) Flexible PU Foam: Automotive interior molded foam (seating, headrests, armrests, door panels), furniture cushion foam, high-grade bedding foam (mattresses, pillows) with strict odor control requirements.
  • Low-Emission & Odorless PU Products: Automotive interior components complying with VDA 278 and indoor air quality standards, household PU products, and infant-related PU supplies.
  • Rigid & Semi-Rigid PU Foam: Integral skin foam, insulation foam, and structural PU foam parts needing stable gel reaction and low emission.
  • General PU Formulations: TDI/MDI based flexible and rigid foam systems, cold-cure molded foam, and various PU elastomer and adhesive formulations that need to replace A33 catalyst.
  • Eco-Friendly PU Manufacturing: Green PU products, automotive interior parts, and indoor decorative PU materials with zero residual odor and low VOC requirements.

4. Storage & Handling

  • Store the product in a sealed, dry, cool and well-ventilated warehouse, with an optimal storage temperature range of 5–35°C, avoid extreme temperature fluctuations.
  • Keep away from direct sunlight, high-temperature heat sources, open flames, strong acidic and alkaline substances, as well as oxidizing agents to prevent performance degradation and chemical hazards.
  • Keep original packaging tightly closed before and after each use to prevent moisture absorption, contamination and reactive component loss, which ensures stable catalytic performance and low emission characteristics.
  • Wear proper personal protective equipment (gloves, goggles) during handling to avoid direct contact with skin and eyes; rinse immediately with plenty of clean water if accidental contact occurs.
  • Shelf Life: 12 months from the production date under proper sealed storage conditions; expired products can be used after passing performance retesting.
  • Standard Packaging: 25 kg plastic drum, 200 kg steel drum, IBC bulk container; customized packaging specifications are available according to customer requirements.
