Silicone Surfactant QHS-5823 is a high-performance silicone surfactant specifically developed for ultra-low density flexible polyether polyurethane foams. As a key additive in polyurethane formulations, it plays a critical role in stabilizing the foam cell structure, ensuring uniform cell distribution and excellent foam quality even at the lowest density levels.

Its unique molecular structure endows it with maximum stabilization efficiency, making it the preferred choice for high-demand foam applications where precision, consistency, and reliability are essential. The product is fully compatible with both MDI (Methylene Diphenyl Diisocyanate) and TDI (Toluene Diisocyanate)-based foam systems, providing formulators with greater flexibility in formulation design while maintaining a stable foaming process from start to finish.

4. Storage

  • Storage Environment: Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, open flames, and other ignition sources.
  • Temperature Range: Recommended storage temperature is 15–30°C (59–86°F). Avoid exposure to temperatures below 5°C (41°F) or above 40°C (104°F) to prevent product degradation.
  • Container Integrity: Keep the original container tightly sealed when not in use to prevent moisture absorption, contamination, and volatilization of active ingredients.
  • Shelf Life: 12 months from the date of manufacture when stored under the recommended conditions.
  • Handling Precautions: Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves and safety goggles, during handling. Avoid inhalation of vapors and prolonged skin contact. In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with water.
